Circa 2011 we discovered a small diner in Juan Luna street near Ateneo de Davao University in Roxas Avenue. They were offering southern American comfort food with a mix of Mexican delicacies. The owners are a lovely couple that never failed to welcome us every time we visited. Sam, one of the owners, is very entertaining in telling jokes and sometimes sings upon request--sometimes.

A few months back Sam was eating a new dish that was not in the menu. Curiously, we asked him what it was. Spaghetti pasta, which are always al dente, topped with his secret recipe of chilli sauce with a mix of ground beef, fresh tomatoes and onions seasoned with spices. Surely, it has a distinct taste and flavor that keeps us coming back for more. That is how the chili cheese bowl came to be.

The onion rings, one of our favorite side dishes in the diner. Every time we have this it's always consistently crispy, savory and seasoned just enough to appreciate the onion and batter. Pair it with a couple drops of their spicy red sauce it elevates the experience to a whole new level. Just remember to have water nearby if it becomes too spicy.

Inspired by the chili cheese pasta without the noodles. Having a refreshing taste from the fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and onions. Still having the Harley's recognizable taste, just remember not to have it with the chili pasta. A great dish even so.

Open from 10am to 9pm, you could check this place out from mondays to saturdays and we guarantee you will not regret your meal. We plan to come back to take more pictures and enjoy more food from them to add to the blog.
